Poodle Postcard: Putting the audience on stage

Dec 27, 2003jesshooksPortfolio, SetsContemporary Dance, Dance, Devised Theater, Lea Anderson, Poodle Postcard, UC Davis

Part of the “Poodle Postcard” experiment was to have theatergoers see what performers do: the audience. The majority of company members were performing in the house – however there were an additional 6 performers whose backs faced the audience. The audience experience was meant to be similar to that of those 6, watching the crowds and fans react to their work.
